Dominican Juan Guerrero (203-1993) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Pedro Chourio (196-1990) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Dominican Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-1986) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cocodrilos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Marinos made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Michael Bryson (193-1994, college: UCSB) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Marinos players scored in double figures.
