Guaiqueries add Sutton to their roster, ex CPN- June 10, 2022
In 2012 he was drafted by Tulsa 66ers (D-League) in first round (6th overall). The former North Carolina Central University standout is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. Sutton has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015. He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in fourteen different countries. Sutton has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Ahli), China (Anhui Wenyi), France (Sluc Nancy and Chalon/Saor), Germany (ratiopharm Ulm), Greece (AE Kallitheas), Italy (Reggio Emilia, Brindisi and Trento), Lithuania (Rytas), Mexico (Libertadores), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal), Spain (Burgos), Philippines (North Port and Air21 Express), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors and OKC Blue), Dominican Republic (Titanes) and The Basketball Tournament (Armored Athlete). He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Guaiqueries.
