Staphon Blair signs at Toros

Toros de Aragua (SPB) landed 29-year old American (has also Jamaican passport) 206cm forward Staphon Blair (college: UCF), agency: Elevate Sports Alliance. Blair was supposed to play this summer at Diablos but then the team decided not to participate in the tournament.

The last season he played at Al Sulaibikhat (D2) in Kuwaiti league. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait D2 Defensive Player of the Year, voted to All-Defensive Team and selected to All-Imports Team.

He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on three different continents. Blair is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Belgium (Okapi Aalst), Bosnia (Bosna-Royal), France (Etoile Angers), Japan (Fukushima), Kosovo (Trepca), Montenegro (Ibar), Philippines (Blackwater Elite), Portugal (Illiabum and Illiabum Clube B team), Slovenia (Sencur Gorenjska Kranj) and TBL (Tampa Bay Titans).
His team made it to the Portuguese final in 2019.
Blair graduated from University of Central Florida in 2016 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
