Piratas-de-la-Guaira (SPB) signed 29-year old American swingman Qyidar Davis (198cm-91kg-1993, college: Indiana State) for the upcoming SPB 2023 season.
Davis played last summer at La Mattica in La Vega League in Dominican Republic. He ended the last season at Al Shorta (Superleague) in Iraqi league.
Davis helped them to make it to the Iraqi League final after they ended regular season as second best team. But the most of that year he spent at Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in German ProA where in 6 games he had 4.8ppg and 2.3rpg.
He is quite experienced player. Davis has played in five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Colombia (Titanes), Qatar (Al Gharafa), Uruguay (25 de Agosto) and Iraq (Al Karkh).
Davis was voted to Asia-Basket.com Iraqi League All-Imports Team in 2019 and 2021.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league on the market.
Davis graduated from Indiana State in 2018 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
