SPB 2023 - Marinos welcome back George Williams II

Marinos-de-Anzoategui (SPB) tabbed 32-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) 198cm guard George A. Williams II (college: WBU) for the upcoming SPB 2023 season. It is actually his comeback to Puerto La Cruz as he has played here before. Williams played recently at Bison in Mongolian MNBA.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in fifteen different countries playing on four different continents. Williams is familiar with Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Ferro), Belize (Tiger Sharks), Canada (Power and Highlanders), Chile (Puerto Varas), Dominican Republic (Reales), Iraq (Al Kahraba and Zakho), Kuwait (Arabi), Mexico (Pioneros Los Mochis and Libertadores), Oman (Al Bashaer), United Kingdom, Kenya (Kenya Ports Authority), Bolivia (La Salle and Amistad), Egypt (Al Geish), UBA (Houston Havok) and PBL (Lynchburg T.).
Among many awards he won Omani League championship title in 2021. Williams was also voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait D2 Point Guard of the Year in 2022.
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Williams graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2012 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
