He had a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Marinos (#8, 3-11) 76-72. Gigantes maintains the 7th position in their group in Venezuelan league. Gigantes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-8 record. In the team's last game Caraballo had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Gigantes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Osbel Caraballo averages this season 8.1ppg. Second best performed player last round was Adrian Espinoza (210-C/F-1997) of Taurinos. He is former international in his first season at Taurinos. In the last game Espinoza recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 18 rebounds. It was enough for Taurinos to edge the higher-ranked Gaiteros (#5, 9-7) by 6 points 95-89. Taurinos' 9th position in Western Conference has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-11 record. Espinoza is one of the most experienced players at Taurinos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Third place about best performers goes to forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-F/C-1996) of Centauros (#7). Araujo scored 18 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Centauros, leading his team to a 89-83 win against the higher-ranked Trotamundos (#4, 11-5). The chances of Centauros ranking at the top of Western Conference, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Araujo could help Centauros to bring them higher in the standings. Araujo has a great season in Venezuela. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.9rpg (4th best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
