2023 ALBA Games - Venezuela earns U17 Gold Medal by crushing Dominica

The National Squad of Venezuela (4-0) took the Gold Medal in the Men's U17 section of the 2023 ALBA Games Basketball competition, by defeating Dominica (1-3), 116-41, to stay undefeated and at the top of the standings, in a game that took place at Naciones Unidas Park in Caracas, Venezuela.

The team coached by Manuel Echezuria , once again, showed superiority to win every quarter, 34-10, 23-9 (57-19), 24-9 (81-28) and 35-13 (116-41).

Anthony Reyes was the start of the game with a double double of 32 points and 10 steals, adding 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Jeiminson Marquez also led the young pack with a double double of 23 points and 14 rebounds, plus 4 blocks and 4 assists.

Estoyan Vargas supported them with 17 points, 12 steals, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and a couple of blocks and Diego Sulbaran (185-G-2006) finished up with 16 points, 8 assists and 4 steals.

For Dominica, Ettiene Omari totaled 15 points and 7 rebounds and Bastier Zach ended with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks.
