SPB 2023 - Marinos sign Danny Agbelese

Marinos de Anzoategui (SPB) signed 33-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) center Danny Agbelese (203cm-107kg-1990, college: Hampton). Agbelese moved there from Sameji in Santiago League in Dominican Republic, but was not approved after all. The last season he played at Estudiantes in Spanish LEB Gold where in four Santiago League games he had just 2.8ppg and 3.3rpg.
He is quite experienced player. Agbelese has played in six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France, Greece (Peristeri, Kolossos H Hotels Rodou, Promitheas and Holargos), Iran (Esteghlal), Italy, Uruguay (Union Atletica Montevideo and Wanderers) and Spain (Ourense, Real Betis, Guadalajara and Gipuzkoa).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Defensive Player of the Year back in 2015.
Agbelese graduated from Hampton University in 2012 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Collin County College for 2 years.
