SPB 2023 - Spartans draft Rich Polanco (Cangrejeros) for the playoffs

Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas (SPB) drafted 25-year old Dominican forward Rich Polanco (203cm-102kg-1997, college: S.Dakota). Polanco moved there from Cangrejeros for the SPB 2023 playoffs. In 26 SPB games in Venezuela just recently he had 12.6ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.7apg last season. He also played for Capitanes in Dominican Rep. LDC where in 6 SPB games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.3ppg, 7.8rpg and 5.0apg.
Polanco represented Dominican Republic at the World Championships U19 in Heraklion (Greece) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 2.0ppg, 2.0rpg.
He has played previously professionally in Colombia (Team Cali and Storm) and Dominican Republic (Soles, CDP Domingo Paulino Santiago, Metros and Los Pepines). He was voted to Dominican Republic LDC All-Star Game in 2022 and 2023.
His team won Dominican Republic LNB Regular Season in 2021.
Polanco graduated from University of South Dakota in 2020 and it will be his third season as a professional player. He played also for Central Arizona College for one year.
