Llaneros - Guaros 73-102

Guaros dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Llaneros' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Llaneros' players. It was a great evening for Cuban center Pedro Bombino (206-2000, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Marvelle Harris (196-1993, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 18 points and 7 assists. Four Guaros players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Argentinian guard Julian Ruiz (185-1998) with 11 points and 8 assists and American-Puerto Rican Wil Martinez (188-1992, college: Fairmont St.) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

The best player for the winners was American-Taiwanese center Dexter Pittman (211-1988, college: Texas) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American forward Myke Henry (198-1992, college: DePaul) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Gaiteros players scored in double figures. Gaiteros' coach Jorge Arrieta used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American Donta Smith (201-1983, college: SE Illinois JC) who recorded 25 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-1989) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively.
