SPB 2024 - Guaiqueries sign a second USA player, ex Al Salam- April 16, 2024

He played recently at Al Salam in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 10 games he averaged impressive 26.8ppg, 6.7rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg last season. The last season he played at Al Nassr (also in SBL) where in 19 games he had very remarkable stats: 21.7ppg, 7.1rpg, 4.2apg and 2.2spg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Saudi Arabian SBL All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week. He also played 9 games in West Asia Super League where he recorded 14.9ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.6apg. In 2017 (two years after his graduation) Reno Bighorns Bighorns selected him as second overall pick in G-League draft. The former Northwest Florida State (JUCO) star Austin graduated his college in 2015 and is in his ninth season in pro basketball. He has played also professionally in NBA (Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (Stockton Kings) and Canada (Orangeville A's). Among many awards Austin's team won Saudi Arabian League Regular Season in 2020. Austin was also voted to All-Panhandle Conference Freshman of the Year back in 2015. He played also for Providence College for one year.
