Brillantes de Zulia (SPB) agreed terms with 24-year old Dominican shooting guard Brahian Mendez (188cm-2000) for new 2024 season. Mendez just played at Sameji in Santiago League in Dominican Republic. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
Mendez has played also professionally for other Dominican Rep. teams like Metros, Del Patio and Santiago Max.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Dominican Republic Santiago League championship title in 2023. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic LDC Superior Guard of the Year in 2023.
