Marinos de Oriente (SPB) drafted 25-year old Venezuelan 196cm forward Osbel Caraballo (college: STAC) for the upcoming SPB 2024 season. Caraballo played last summer at Bucaros in Colombian Liga Wplay. In 14 games he averaged 15.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.2apg and 1.0spg. He also played for Gigantes in Venezuelan SPB where in 25 games he had 9.9ppg and 4.0rpg. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week.
Caraballo graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2022 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. His team won ECC Tournament in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
