Almanza number one in Venezuela SPB for round 4 (by Hoops Agents)

Naturalized Colombian Power forward Luis Almanza (196-PF-1991) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Heroes De Falcon, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Centauros (#8, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 66-63. Heroes is placed at 2nd position in Venezuelan SPB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Heroes won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Almanza had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Heroes and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Luis Almanza averages just after two games 16.0ppg and 8.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international power forward Elian Centeno (200-PF-2000) of Pioneros Del Avila. Centeno had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Pioneros to edge the lower-ranked Toros (#7, 1-2) 78-74. Despite this victory Pioneros slide down in the standings to 4th position in Group I. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Centeno is one of the most experienced players at Pioneros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was French center Ludgy Debaut (213-C, agency: Helping Ballers) of league's second-best Llaneros de Guarico. Debaut scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Llaneros, leading his team to a 89-72 easy win against Frontinos (#9, 0-3). Llaneros has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Debaut also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Debaut has a great season in Venezuela. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (3rd best).
