SLBF 2024 - Mariana Duran (ex Osnabrueck) signs at Pastoras

Mariana Duran

Pastoras de Lara (SLBF) landed 31-year old Venezuelan-Spanish international 172cm point guard Mariana Duran (college: Okla City). Duran moved there from GiroLive Panthers Osnabrueck SC in German DBBL. She also played for Acciaierie Valbruna Bolzano (B) in Italian league.
Duran has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2010 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2009.
Duran represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) last year. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 8.0ppg, 4.7rpg, Assists-2(4.0apg), FGP: 25.0%, 3PT: 26.7%.
She has played previously professionally in Argentina (Las Heras) and Italy (Salerno and Roseto). Duran won Venezuelan LINABAFE championship title in 2011 and 2012.
Among many awards she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-FIBA AmeriCup Honorable Mention in 2023.
She graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2017 and it is her seventh season in pro basketball. Duran played also for Panola College for one year.
