SPB 2024 - Christian Eyenga (ex Lille) joins Gaiteros

Christian Eyenga

Gaiteros de Zulia (SPB) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old Congolese ex-international small forward Christian Eyenga (198cm-95kg-1989). Eyenga played last season at Lille Metropole Basket Red Giants in French ProB. In 25 games he had 8.8ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.4apg.
In 2009 he was drafted by Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) in first round (30th overall). He was a member of Congolese Senior National Team between 2018 and 2022.
Eyenga is quite experienced player. Eyenga's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America. Eyenga has played previously professionally in China (Loongs), Italy (Sassari), Poland (Enea Zastal and PGE Turow), Spain (Joventut, Unicaja, Fuenlabrada, Prat and Joventut), NBA (LA Lakers), NBA G League (Texas Legends and Cleveland Charge) and DR Congo (B.C.Onatra Kinshasa). He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A Honorable Mention back in 2015 and 2017.
His team made it to the Spanish Liga Endesa Supercup Final Four in 2020.
