Kelvin Caraballo gets MVP of the Week award for Venezuelan SPB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Kelvin Caraballo (198-F-1988) put on an amazing game in the last round for Heroes De Falcon and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Cocodrilos (#1, 17-4) 96-92. Heroes maintains the 5th position in their group in the Venezuelan SPB. Heroes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 10th lost game this season out of 20 games. Caraballo just recently signed at Heroes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kelvin Caraballo averages this season 6.2ppg and 5.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Dion Wright (201-F-1993) of Llaneros de Guarico. Wright impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Llaneros was edged by the higher-ranked Brillantes (#5, 9-8) 70-69. Llaneros managed to keep the same 8th spot in Group I. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Llaneros managed to get this year. Wright is one of the most experienced players at Llaneros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.4ppg (#6). He also registered 6.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Isaac Thornton (194-G-1991) of Centauros de Portuguesa (#7). Thornton scored 28 points and passed 4 assists. Despite Thornton's great performance the Centauros lost 84-97 to slightly higher-ranked Gaiteros (#6, 9-9). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Centauros not to end season at such low position in Group II, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Thornton could try to bring Centauros' a little bit higher in the standings. Thornton has individually a great season in Venezuela. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (4th best).
