SLBF 2024 - Pastoras sign Odeth Betancourt just out of college

Pastoras de Lara (SLBF) agreed terms with 24-year old Venezuelan ex-international forward Odeth Betancourt (188cm-2000). Betancourt just graduated from Western Kentucky University (NCAA) in USA. In 31 games she had 6.0ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.1spg last season.
She started her college career at Panola College (JUCO). Then she moved to University of South Florida (NCAA).
Betancourt was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2017 and 2022 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2016.
Betancourt also represented Venezuela at the FIBA South American Women's Championship in San Luis (Argentina) two years ago. Betancourt's team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 3 games: 2.0ppg, 3.3rpg.
As mentioned above she is just out of college, so it will be Betancourt's first season as a professional player.
