Rodriguez's 20 points give him Player of the Week award

30-year old forward Jesus Rodriguez (200-F-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Diablos de Miranda and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 33.
He had the game-high 20 points adding four rebounds for Diablos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Gaiteros (#6, 9-9) 77-69. Diablos maintains the 9th position in their group in the Venezuelan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 15 games and recorded just three victories. It was one of impressive evenings for Rodriguez as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Second best performed player last round was Jalen Jones (201-G/F-1993) of Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas. He is American swingman in his first season at Spartans. In the last game Jones recorded an impressive 14 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Spartans to edge slightly lower-ranked Frontinos (#7, 8-13) by 3 points 75-72. Spartans' 6th position in Group I has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Third place about best performers goes to another Spartans' star - swingman Jassel Perez (195-G/F-2001, agency: BMS Sport Agency). Perez scored 24 points.
