SPB 2024 - Marinos add Richard Amardi to their roster via draft

Marinos de Oriente (SPB) added to their roster 33-year old Canadian ex-international forward Richard Amardi (206cm-101kg-1990, college: Oregon, agency: BIG) through the 2024 SPB Playoffs Draft. Amardi played this summer at Frontinos. In 19 SPB games in Venezuela just recently he recorded 12.4ppg and 5.1rpg. He was a member of Canadian Senior National Team back in 2017.
Amardi is quite experienced player. Thanks to Amardi's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in eight different countries. He has played previously professionally in Brazil (Pinheiros), Bulgaria (Levski and Yambol), Greece (Charilaos), Mexico (Dorados), Slovakia (Spisski Rytieri), Libya (Ahly Tripoli), Canada (Moncton Magic, London Lightning, Windsor Express and River Lions) and NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team was regular season runner-up in Mexican LNBP East Division in 2021. Amardi was voted to USBasket.com NBL Canada All-Domestic Players Team back in 2017.
He graduated from University of Oregon in 2014 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player. Amardi played also for Weatherford College for one year.
