SPB 2025 - Nestor Colmenares comes back to Trotamundos

Trotamundos de Carabobo (SPB) inked experienced 37-year old Venezuelan international 200cm center Nestor Colmenares (college: Campbellsville). It is actually his comeback to La Asuncion as he has played here before. Colmenares played recently at Nacional in Uruguayan LUB league. In 15 games he recorded 7.5ppg, 6.6rpg (#3 in the league), 2.5apg and 1.0spg last season. The last season he played at Gladiadores where in 6 BCL Americas games he averaged 6.7ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.0spg.
He also represented Venezuela at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) two years ago.
Colmenares is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Colmenares has played previously professionally also in Argentina (Instituto), Israel (Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Mexico (Halcones Rojos, Abejas and Huracanes), Romania (Cluj Napoca) and Venezuela (Centauros de Apure, Cocodrilos, Guaros and Estrellas Orientales) and Uruguay (Trouville and Goes). He won Liga Sudamericana championship title in 2017 and 2024. Colmenares was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LPB Honorable Mention back in 2016 and 2018.
He graduated from Campbellsville University in 2010 and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball. Colmenares played also for Indian Hills Community College for 2 years.
