Tony Farmer gets MVP of the Week award for Venezuelan SPB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Tony Farmer (201-F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Marinos de Oriente and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 30-year old forward had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Guaiqueries (#11, 7-8) 81-70. Marinos maintains the 2nd position in Venezuelan SPB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Marinos will need more victories to improve their 11-7 record. Farmer just recently signed at Marinos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lee College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Farmer is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.1ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international power forward Luis Valera (201-F/C-1988) of Guaiqueries de Margarita. Valera impressed basketball fans with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Guaiqueries lost that game 70-81 to the higher-ranked Marinos (#2, 11-7). Guaiqueries is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-8 record. Valera is one of the most experienced players at Guaiqueries and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Delwan Graham (200-F-1988, agency: Interperformances) of Llaneros de Guarico (#14). Graham scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Llaneros, leading his team to a 89-66 easy win against the higher-ranked Trotamundos (#5, 10-8). Llaneros can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-14 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Graham has individually a great season in Venezuela. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.2rpg (3rd best).

5. Willie Reed (211-C/F-1990) of Cocodrilos - 10 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Addison Spruill (195-G-1993) of Toros - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Tae Williams (201-G/F-2000) of Panteras - 19 points and 8 rebounds
8. Will Cherry (185-PG-1991) of Cocodrilos - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Gerardo Suero (196-SF-1989) of Brillantes - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Douglas Rondon (175-G-1995) of Brillantes - 18 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
