The game with biggest difference of round 33 was host Piratas' (#7) victory at home over 4th placed Spartans (14-9) 83-77 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Spartans. Piratas made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) who scored 23 points. The former international point guard Edwin Mijares (186-1992) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Dominican swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) who recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas maintains seventh place with 10-10 record. Spartans at the other side keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Piratas are looking forward to face higher ranked Cocodrilos (#6) in Caracas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spartans will have a break next round.

Michael Bryson contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Sydney Curry (203-2000, college: GCU) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds for Panteras. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Marinos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
In the last two games of round 33 bottom-ranked Llaneros were defeated by Trotamundos in La Asuncion 79-75. Guaiqueries beat Gladiadores at home 79-64.
