SPB 2026 - Marinos land Bryan Jefferson, ex Astros

Newly promoted Marinos de Anzoategui (SPB) have signed 31-year-old American 201cm forward Bryan Jefferson (college: Mary) for the upcoming season. Jefferson, who played for Astros in the Mexican CIBACOPA last summer, averaged 6.8ppg and 3.8rpg in 24 LNBP games. He was instrumental in helping his team secure the league title, despite finishing second in the regular season. Jefferson also played 32 games in CIBACOPA, where he posted 7.9ppg and 4.1rpg, contributing to another league title win after finishing second in the regular season. Last season, he had a stint with KFUM Jamtland Basket (Basketligan) in the Swedish league.
Jefferson is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American, Australian, and of course North American leagues. Jefferson has played professionally in Argentina (Instituto), Australia (Bearcats), Luxembourg (Soleuvre and Telstar), Malta (Starlites), and Sweden (Umea).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com Swedish Basketligan All-Imports Team back in 2023.
He graduated from the University of Mary in 2017, and this will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
