SPB 2026 - Trotamundos keep Jhornan Zamora for another season

Trotamundos de Carabobo (SPB) re-signed experienced 37-year old Venezuelan-Spanish international 196cm swingman Jhornan Zamora for the new season. He played there last season. In 42 SPB games, he averaged 8.2ppg, 2.7rpg, and 1.8apg. He helped them to make it to the Venezuelan SPB final. Zamora can count that season as very successful as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Honorable Mention. He also played for another Venezuelan team Trotamundos de Carabobo earlier that season.
Zamora has also been a member of the Venezuelan international program for several years. He has played for the Venezuelan senior team since 2012 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2005.
Zamora also represented Venezuela at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 8.2 points per game and had 2.6 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Zamora has played also in Chile (Puerto Montt), Colombia (Cimarrones and Titanes), France (Saint Quentin, ALM Evreux and Gries-Souffel), Mexico (El Calor), Paraguay (Sol de America) and Spain (Ourense, Valladolid, Zunder Palencia) and Venezuela (Aduaneros, Guacharos, Broncos and Metropolitanos).
His team won the Colombian LPB Clausura Regular Season in 2023. He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Trotamundos.
