Shabazz Muhammad

Piratas de la Guaira (SPB) signed 33-year-old American 198cm small forward Shabazz Muhammad (college: UCLA). He recently played at Beirut Club in Lebanese DLBL. In two games, he recorded very impressive stats: 19.0ppg, 7.5rpg, and 1.0bpg last season.
Part of last summer, he spent time at Amartha Hangtuah Jakarta (IBL) in the Indonesian league where, in 7 games, he averaged a remarkable 25.0ppg, 12.3rpg, and 1.9apg.
In 2013, he was drafted by the Utah Jazz (NBA) in the first round (14th overall). He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
Muhammad is a very experienced player. He has traveled quite a bit during his pro career, playing in nine different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America, and North America). Muhammad has played professionally in China (Guandong Tigers, Loongs, Leopards, and Shaanxi), Indonesia, the Philippines (Hotshots and Beermen), the NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves), Venezuela (Trotamundos), the NBA G League (Stockton Kings and Grand Rapids Gold), the PBL (Just Hoops), and the EBA (Honcho).
He participated in the Chinese CBA All-Star Game in 2019.
