Experienced American Glen Rice Jr. (198-F-1991) had a great game in the last round for Brillantes de Zulia and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 34-year old forward had the game-high 35 points adding five rebounds and seven assists for Brillantes in his team's victory, helping them to beat Trotamundos (#8, 1-2) 124-116. Brillantes is placed at 4th position in Venezuelan SPB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Brillantes won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Rice Jr. had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Brillantes and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. power forward Juan Guerrero (203-PF-1993) of Guaiqueries de Margarita. Guerrero impressed basketball fans with 26 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Guaiqueries to edge slightly higher-ranked Cocodrilos (2-1) by 2 points 82-80. Guaiqueries' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Guerrero is one of the most experienced players at Guaiqueries and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.7ppg (#3). He also registered 8.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Richard Bautista (185-PG-1997) of Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas (#3). Bautista showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Spartans, leading his team to a 106-104 win against Heroes (#12, 0-3). Spartans started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Bautista turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Bautista has a great season in Venezuela. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.3apg (5th best).
