SPB 2026 - Piratas add James Ennis to their roster, ex Dreamers

James Ennis

Piratas de la Guaira (SPB) added experienced 35-year-old American swingman James Ennis (201cm-95kg-1990, college: LBSU) to their roster. He recently played for Dreamers in the Taiwanese TPBL, where he put up impressive stats of 16.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 3.4apg, and 1.6spg in 9 games. Prior to that, he played for Rebnise in the Japanese B2 League last season.
In 2013, he was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks (NBA) in the second round (50th overall). He graduated from Long Beach State University, and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
Ennis is a highly experienced player. He has played professionally in ten different countries on five different continents, including Australia (Wildcats), Bahrain (Al-Ahli), China (Ennisbei), Israel (Hapoel Haifa), Japan, Puerto Rico (Criollos), Russia (Samara), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, and LA Clippers), and The Basketball Tournament (LA Cheaters). Thanks to his pro career, he has been able to play between Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and North America.
He was voted to the VTB United League All-Star Game in 2023. He has also played for other colleges such as Ventura College and Oxnard College.
