Romero number one in Venezuela SPB for round 13 (by Hoops Agents)

Panamanian Power forward Eric Romero (210-F/C-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Trotamundos de Carabobo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Guaiqueries (#4, 5-2) 89-83. Trotamundos is placed at 6th position in Venezuelan SPB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Trotamundos will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Romero had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Trotamundos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Eric Romero averages this season 15.9ppg and 7.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Michaell Jackson (198-F-1987) of Heroes De Falcon. Jackson had a very good evening with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Heroes to another comfortable win 90-75 over the lower-ranked Panteras (#12, 1-6) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Heroes keeps 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Jackson is one of the most experienced players at Heroes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 3.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. guard Gelvis Solano (185-PG-1994) of Guaiqueries de Margarita (#4). Solano scored 21 points and passed 8 assists. Despite Solano's great performance the Guaiqueries lost 83-89 to slightly lower-ranked Trotamundos (#6, 5-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Guaiqueries needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Solano has a great season in Venezuela. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.6apg (2nd best).
