SPB 2026 - Marinos sign Michael Bryson, ex Jiangxi

Michael Bryson

Marinos de Anzoategui (SPB) signed 31-year old American guard Michael Bryson (193cm-91kg-1994, college: UCSB). He just played at Jiangxi Ganchi in Chinese NBL league. In 29 games he had very impressive stats: 21.3ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.8apg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg last season. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times).
In 2016 he was drafted by Northern Arizona Suns (D-League) in first round (8th overall).
The former University of California Santa Barbara star is in his tenth season in pro basketball.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Bryson is quite experienced player. He has played in eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Bryson has played professionally in Australia (Kings), Canada (Surge), Hungary (PVSK-Veolia), Mexico (Toros, Gambusinos, Rayos de Hermosillo, Plateros and Astros), Dominican Republic (Indios), NBA G League (NAZ Suns, Iowa Wolves and Delaware Blue Coats) and The Basketball Tournament (West Coast Ronin).
Among many awards Bryson's team made it to the Mexican LBE Semifinals in 2025. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Honorable Mention in 2025.
