Dominican Rep. Yeison Colome (190-SG-1996) had a great game in the last round for Piratas de la Guaira and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 29-year old shooting guard had the game-high 30 points adding three rebounds and seven assists for Piratas in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Marinos (#6, 8-7) 80-78. Piratas maintains the 11th position in Venezuelan SPB. Piratas is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-9 record. In the team's last game Colome had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Piratas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Colome has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.6ppg) and averages solid 58.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. power forward Juan Guerrero (203-PF-1993) of Guaiqueries de Margarita. Guerrero impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Guaiqueries was edged by the higher-ranked Spartans (#2, 11-3) 77-73. Guaiqueries managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Guerrero is one of the most experienced players at Guaiqueries and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#3). He also registered 7.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Luis Martinez (196-G/F-2000) of Centauros de Bolivar (#12). Martinez scored 26 points. Despite Martinez's great performance the Centauros lost 76-81 to the higher-ranked Cocodrilos (#3, 11-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Centauros can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. The season just started for Martinez as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
