25-year old Dominican Rep. swingman Luis Martinez (196-G/F-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for Centauros de Bolivar and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 37.
He had the game-high 24 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Centauros in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Trotamundos (#5, 15-9) 76-74. Centauros maintains the 12th position in Venezuelan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 19 games and recorded just five victories. In the team's last game Martinez had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Centauros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Luis Martinez averages this season 20.3ppg and 5.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Yeison Colome (190-SG-1996) of Piratas de la Guaira. He is Dominican Rep. guard in his first season at Piratas. In the last game Colome recorded an impressive 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Piratas to edge slightly lower-ranked Diablos (#11, 8-16) by 3 points 92-89. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Piratas keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-15 record. Colome is one of the most experienced players at Piratas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.9ppg (#2). He also recorded 3.3 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Piratas' star - forward Emmanuel Egbuta (201-F-1996, agency: BIG). Egbuta scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Piratas de la Guaira, helping his team with a 92-89 win against slightly lower-ranked Diablos (#11, 8-16). The chances of Piratas not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Egbuta could try to bring Piratas' a little bit higher in the standings. Egbuta has a very solid season. In 12 games in Venezuela he scored 12.0ppg. He also has 5.5rpg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 55.8%.
