Gaiteros made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American guard Nahziah Carter (198-1999, college: Washington) fired 20 points for the winners. Swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Myke Henry (198-1992, college: DePaul) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Amorie Archibald (192-1999, college: La Tech, agency: Olsta) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michael Bryson (193-1994, college: UCSB) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward KJ McDaniels (197-1993, college: Clemson, agency: JCK Sports Group) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Marinos players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Michael Carrera (196-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) scored 5 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.

Cocodrilos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pioneros' 34. Pioneros were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch.
