SPB 2026 - Andres Marrero's pro career starts at Marinos

Marinos de Anzoategui (SPB) signed 24-year-old Venezuelan ex-international 190cm guard Andres Marrero. He recently graduated from Merrimack (NCAA). In 32 games, he averaged 7.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.4apg, and 1.3spg last season, helping them win the regular season and reach the MAAC Tournament final.
Marrero began his college career at La Salle University (NCAA), where he played for three seasons. He spent his high school career at Upper Room Christian High School in Dix Hills, NY.
As mentioned above, he is just out of college and it is his first full season in professional basketball.
He was also a member of the Venezuelan international program for some years. Marrero played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2021 and 2023 and previously for the Under 16 National Team back in 2017.
