Guaiqueries outrebounded Trotamundos 36-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Trotamundos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Dominican point guard Gelvis Solano (185-1994, college: Merrimack) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Pedro Chourio (196-1990) chipped in 30 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard James Reese V (193-1998, college: S.Carolina) who recorded 19 points and naturalized American Donta Smith (201-1983, college: SE Illinois JC) added 16 points and 4 steals respectively. Five Trotamundos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
