Rather expected game when 7th ranked Stingerz (2-9) was smashed at home by fourth ranked Spanish Heat (6-6) 102-74 on Saturday. Spanish Heat dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Stingerz's 36. They outrebounded Stingerz 73-28 including a 29-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Spanish Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Stingerz's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Bernard Andrew who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 23 rebounds. Guard Gabriel Perez accounted for 23 points and 20 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Ammiel Williams came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Tristan Jacobs added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Stingerz in the defeat. Four Stingerz players scored in double figures. Spanish Heat maintains fourth place with 6-6 record. Stingerz lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Spanish Heat will meet at home Slam (#5) in the next round. Stingerz will play against Ottos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
