Regular Season Round 12: Stingerz - Ottos 66-98

Date: April 3, 2025
Bottom-ranked Ottos managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Thursday night. This time they outleveled seventh-ranked Stingerz 98-66. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 32-point difference proves that Ottos was well-prepared to that game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Stingerz's 48. Ottos forced 26 Stingerz turnovers and outrebounded them 73-40 including a 31-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ottos looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Stingerz's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mali Newton who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and guard Lenroy McFarlen who added 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Ottos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Tristan Jacobs with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and guard Jaheem James produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Ottos maintains eighth position with 2-11 record. Stingerz lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Ottos are looking forward to face higher ranked Slam (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stingerz will play against the league's second-placed Potters S. where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
