Regular Season Round 4: Gorriones - Chanares 66-69

The most surprising game was the first loss ofGorriones (2-1) in Rio Cuarto on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Chanares (2-2) 69-66 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gorriones. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Italian point guard Regina Carosio (165-1986) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and Marilina Banegas who added 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Chanares' coach Norberto Yanez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side swingman Candela Ruffino (184-1994) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-2000) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Chanares moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rocamora and El Talar. Gorriones at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Instituto and Obras.
