There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedGimnasia (3-3) defeated higher ranked Riachuelo (4-2) in Comodoro Rivadavia 76-65 on Sunday. American Jalen Jenkins (201-1994, college: GMU, agency: Players Group) notched 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Venezuelan forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-1997) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Gimnasia players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks by American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Riachuelo . Valentin Forestier (194-2003) added 8 points and 6 rebounds. Riachuelo LR's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnasia moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Riachuelo LR dropped to the fifth position with two games lost.
