No shocking result in a game when second rankedQuilmes (5-2) beat 6th ranked Racing Ch. (2-3) in Mar del Plata 88-84 on Thursday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Racing Ch. outrebounded Quilmes 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international Juan De La Fuente (195-2000) who scored that evening 25 points and swingman Alvaro Chervo (193-1999) supported him with 26 points and 4 steals. Five Quilmes players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists by point guard Alejo Barrales (174-1991) did not help to save the game for Racing Ch. . Power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) added 19 points and 7 rebounds. Racing Ch.'s coach Diego D´Ambrosio let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Quilmes maintains second position with 5-2 record behind leader Centenario VT, which they share with Amancay. Loser Racing Ch. dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
