Regular Season Round 13: H.Americano - La Union 74-83

There was a minor upset in Rio Gallegos where 5th ranked H.Americano (2-4) was defeated by seventh ranked La Union (2-4) 83-74 on Friday. La Union made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Guard Matias Caire (188-1999) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Valentin Costa (182-1999, agency: BIG) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Ecuadorian forward Johu Castillo (199-1999) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jeremias Cardona (188-2002) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. La Union moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated H.Americano. La Union will meet at home league's leader Lanus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. H.Americano will play against Racing A. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
