We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Mercedes where their biggest opponentAmancay (5-3) was outplayed by third ranked Comunicaciones (6-3) 84-61 on Monday. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Comunicaciones outrebounded Amancay 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (205-1981) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Matias Eidintas (186-1995) chipped in 22 points. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Comunicaciones' coach Eduardo Japez felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Santiago Luduena (178-1993) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Fabricio Peralta scored 15 points and 4 steals. Comunicaciones moved-up to second place. Loser Amancay dropped to the third position with three games lost.
