There was a surprise result in La Banda where tenth rankedOlimpico (4-5) smashed higher ranked Quimsa (4-3) 83-63 on Monday. Olimpico dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Quimsa 's 30. Olimpico forced 21 Quimsa turnovers. Guard Facundo Rivero (180-2004) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Cesar Martinez (182-2007) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Olimpico players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Facundo Campos (-2005) with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Mateo Buyatti scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Olimpico . They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Boca Jrs. Loser Quimsa dropped to the eighth position with three games lost.
