No shocking result in a game when second rankedEl Talar (6-2) crushed 6th ranked Pilar (2-4) in Buenos Aires 93-63 on Thursday. El Talar made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Mateo Macrini who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Federico Glinberg (201-1990) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five El Talar players scored in double figures. Forward Ignacio Varisco (202-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Bruno Conti (182-2000) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Pilar in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted El Talar maintains second place with 6-2 record behind leader San Isidro. Loser Pilar keeps the sixth position with four games lost.
