Regular Season Round 17: Amancay - Independiente 70-65

Top ranked Independiente (8-3) recorded its third loss in La Rioja on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Amancay (6-4) 70-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Independiente. The best player for the winners was Fabricio Peralta who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Conrado Echevarria (195-1998, agency: BIG) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. Ecuadorian Erick Mecias (194-2003) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Uruguayan center Matias Acosta (200-1999) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Four Independiente players scored in double figures. Amancay maintains fourth place with 6-4 record. Independiente at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Amancay are looking forward to face Estudiantes T. (#8) in San Miguel de Tucuman in the next round. Independiente will play on the road against Montmartre (#5) in Catamarca and is hoping to win this game.
