There was a surprise result when fifteenth rankedGimnasia (5-6) defeated higher ranked Union (7-6) in Comodoro Rivadavia 91-79 on Sunday. Gimnasia outrebounded Union 35-20 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Venezuelan forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-1997) who scored that evening 13 points and 7 rebounds and Carlos Rivero (207-2003) supported him with 16 points. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by American Dominique Morrison (198-1989, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for Union . The former international Mauro Cosolito (192-1988) added 10 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gimnasia moved-up to twelfth place. Union at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost.
