There was a minor upset when their close opponentH.Americano (7-7) was smashed by fifth ranked Racing A. (7-6) in Buenos Aires 96-66 on Monday. Racing A. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to H.Americano 's 28. They outrebounded H.Americano 49-32 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Facundo Vallejos (200-1995) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-1994) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Racing A.'s coach Fernando Rosanova felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds by Brazilian center Romulo Gusmao (208-1995) did not help to save the game for H.Americano . Guard Jeremias Cardona (188-2002) added 15 points for the guests. Four H.Americano players scored in double figures. Racing A. moved-up to third place, which they share with Racing Ch. and Pico FC. Loser H.Americano keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Jujuy and U.Mar del Plata.
