Regular Season Round 20: Zarate - Ferro 66-80

There was no surprise when 16th rankedZarate (6-12) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Ferro (9-10) 80-66 on Sunday. Ferro outrebounded Zarate 46-33 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ferro looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Paraguayan center Leonel Bettiga (208) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Felipe Rodriguez (195-2003) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. Edgar Merchant (200-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Patricio Pinero (195-1995) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Zarate's coach Juan Anglese tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Ferro went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. Zarate lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth place with 12 games lost.
