Eleventh rankedPenarol (11-10) crushed at home 20th ranked Argentino (4-17) by 32 points 94-62 , which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. American guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) fired 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Victor Fernandez (180-1999) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Mexican swingman Manuel Hernandez (193-1991) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Tomas Allende (190-2002) added 11 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) respectively for lost side. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Penarol moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ferro. Argentino lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.
