Regular Season Round 29: Union - Zarate 88-74

Very expected game in Santa Fe where 17th ranked Zarate (4-16) was defeated by eighth ranked Union (14-8) 88-74 on Tuesday. Union forced 24 Zarate turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Agustin Ferrari (-2005) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Francisco Alonso chipped in 14 points. Union's coach Marcos Chechele used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Gino Sciamanna produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and Facundo Del Do added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Zarate players scored in double figures. Union have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ferro. Zarate lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Gimnasia. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
